Dear Aurora Arts & Merchants members,
I’m excited about forging a new relationship with the greater Aurora community. Here are the details of the partnership that we have formed. I’m also sharing some details about membership benefits that may be of interest to current and future members of the Aurora Arts and Merchants Association (AAMA).
Here are the benefits that AAMA members receive from this partnership:
Energy Alliance (attached)
This is a member benefit program sponsored by the Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce (CCCoC), and other Chambers throughout New York State. There is no fee. You may explore whether or not the program will save you money on utilities even before you join. This should be of special interest to restaurants and small manufacturers, and other businesses that consume a lot of energy. Members who participate reported savings of around 8% last year.
Discount on Membership
Members of AAMA can have their membership fees in AAMA discounted from membership in the CCCoC. For example if a business is a member of the AAMA and the cost of membership is $75 annually then that can be deducted from their membership investment in the CCCoC (basic membership for business under 5 employees is $240 so with the discount it would only be $165). This will apply for any new or existing members of the CCCoC.
Below are benefits for being a member of the CCCoC.
Chamber Link Monthly Newsletter (attached)
*Reaches over 700 members and area business and government leaders, and is available to download.
*Advertising your event, products or services in the Chamber Link to this captive audience fits even a modest marketing budget.
*We also feature a no-cost “Member In The News” column each month in which our members can share information about upcoming events, grand openings and more.
Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce Web Advertising
*Nearly 20,000 visits per month, and over 5 hits per visit, ensure great exposure for Chamber members.
*Every new member of the Chamber is offered three months of free banner advertising on our site. It’s our way to thank you for joining, and it’s a great way to get the word out about your business.
*Web banner advertising may be continued for just $100 per month. We have packaged rates as well, that offer discounts.
*All member pages features a photo or logo of your choosing, and members may purchase an enhanced web presence that includes a 50 word description of your business, plus more directory categories.
Business At Noon , Business After Five
Members can host a Chamber business networking event in their office, store, plant or shop. The Chamber does the marketing, advertising and takes reservations. The host member provides the space and refreshments and will be asked to provide a door prize. Chamber members will meet and mingle, and the host will have an opportunity to talk about their business, conduct a tour, etc. These are usually scheduled three months in advance. If a member does not have a place to gather, but wants to spread the word via a business event, the Chamber Office can host it in Auburn, or may be able to help the member find a location with a member to share hosting duties right in your town.
Group Health and Dental Insurance Plans
*Competitive rates.
*Includes new High Deductible, HSA account options.
Advocacy and Consulting
The Chamber is here for you to help deal with any issues regarding problem solving, governmental issues, and general information on best practices.
Access to our membership information for your mailings
Human resource advice compliments of AMTEK
*Up to four (4) calls per year. Too small for an HR department? This benefit is there when you need it the most.
Sponsorship Opportunities
*See attached brochure that outlines the many ways to support programs and events.
* Market your goods and events at the Chamber Office, 36 South St., Auburn. Drop off brochures, business cards, posters for upcoming sales and events.
*Register for our annual business show, Market Cayuga , which is held on the second Thursday of November at the Holiday Inn. Open to the public, this event fills the Holiday Inn ballroom with Chamber Members. The afternoon features door prizes, refreshments, seminars, and much, much more. It is covered by local print and tv media as well.
*Join a Chamber Committee or Council . We have several, and they are all committed to improving the quality of life of Cayuga County, and that includes a rich economic environment. The include Government Affairs Council, Ambassadors Council, Leadership Cayuga Advisory Council, Golf Committee, Annual Dinner Committee, Green Committee and more.
*We are now offering Chamber sponsored trips to Europe . Chamber members enjoy a discount on the very reasonably priced trips to Italy and Ireland this fall. Bookings are being taken now.
There is more, and our staff and Ambassadors Council can share some ideas about the best ways for businesses to utilize their membership.
As I said before we are very excited about this new partnership and look forward to the growth of both the AAMA and the CCCoC. This partnership will increase our ability to assist the businesses of Aurora, ensuring their success and helping them prosper.
Sincerely,
Andrew
